Sweet May

Sweet May hath come to love us,
Flowers, trees, their blossoms don;
And through the blue heavens above us
The very clouds move on.
~ Heinrich Heine

Three years in China.  There are moments, staring at my computer screen, when the traffic noises slip away and I forget we’ve been here that long.  Other moments, to quote an old friend, it feels like “about a hundred years now”.  Every day is fascinating.  Every day is a marvel, no matter where you live.

In May each year, I take photos from our apartment windows.  We’ve watched buildings go up and down.  So many cars and bicycles passing along below us.  And now, we see another spring.  Every day is a marvel.  It’s up to you to see it.

I started this blog in 2010 as we prepared to move to Shenyang China. Since coming back to the US in 2015, my writing has been less consistent. Trying to find a voice here...
